Route de la Nouvelle is granted planning approval. The GHA's second phase of the redevelopment of Le Grand Bouet, comprising 60 houses and 20 apartments, has been granted planning permission. Lovell Ozanne's community orientated design draws on the organic scale and massing of typical Guernsey streets, embracing the 'home zone' principle of neighbourhood design and focussing on a domestic scale of architecture. The site layout provides spaces for activity and play throughout the public areas of the development whilst maintaining privacy and security for back gardens and parking courts.

Lovell Ozanne were appointed by the GHA in December 2010 and made the planning submission in July 2011, following extensive consultation with the Environment Department. The sympathetically designed scheme has been warmly received by Environment, the GHA and the St Peter Port Douzaine, and is expected to start on site in March 2012.
